Dear Corpus Christi Parents and Guardians,
The Corpus Christi Home School Association (HSA) Board would like to take this opportunity to welcome back our students and families to another exciting school year! The HSA is a dedicated group of parents who volunteer to help our school in many ways. The HSA lends support through fundraising efforts, volunteerism and providing families the opportunity to be involved in the school and their child’s education.
The HSA is planning many fun events for this year, including:
- Back to School Social
- Halloween “Trunk or Treat”
- Parents’ Social (NEW)
- Pre K and K-2 Dances
- Pocketbook Bingo
- Breakfast with Santa
- Family Fun Nights
- Comedy Night
- Book Fair
- Educational Assemblies…and much more!
The HSA also helps defray the cost of the Graduates’ Formal and Communion Breakfast and will once again be providing the students in grades 2-8 with CCS-branded student planners to help them practice organization and time management.
In order to keep tuition costs down, as well as help our school thrive with new updates and programs, the HSA is being asked to raise $60,000 towards the school’s operating budget. Please note: all monies raised by the HSA stays at Corpus Christi School.
While we will have fundraisers to help reach our goal, your $25 HSA family dues are critical for us to sponsor the programs we run throughout the year. Thank you to all who sent in your dues during registration. If you have yet to submit your dues, please send a $25 check payable to “Corpus Christi School HSA” to the school office as soon as possible.
Above all, EVERY parent and guardian is a member of the HSA. While board members facilitate activities and fundraising, it takes the entire school community to achieve our goals and we value every parent’s time and contribution, no matter how big or small. Please fill out and send back the volunteer sign-up sheet included in the packet.
Our ultimate goal is to help our school feel like a family, through communication and social events. One way to stay informed is to attend our HSA general meetings during the year, and also look for emails from email@example.com. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or ideas.
Working together, we will make this another amazing year for our school community! Thank you all for all you do to make that possible!
Laura Herrera, HSA President
