The Scholarship Fund for Inner-City Children (SFIC) partial-tuition application is now open for families.
Founded in 1983 by Archbishop Emeritus Peter L. Gerety as the Fund for Educational Advancement, SFIC is a non-profit organization funded by corporations, foundations and individual donors who wish to invest in the future of economically disadvantaged children living in neighboring communities. The Fund has made an impact on the lives of thousands of inner-city children. SFIC has provided over 57,000 students with over $47,000,000 in partial tuition assistance.
Tuition assistance awards are based upon need without regard to ethnicity, gender, race or religion.
The SFIC General Fund is for students attending private parochial elementary and secondary schools located within Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Union counties in New Jersey. It is funded with unrestricted donations from individuals, corporations and foundations.
